Travellers arriving from countries classified as "green" can enter Cyprus without being subject to any isolation or test requirement.

For these travellers, testing and quarantine are not required also in case of transit through high-risk countries, provided that no overnight stay has taken place (as well as no stay has taken place in such countries in the last 14 days).

A dedicated form must be filled in within 24 hours before the last departure flight to the Republic of Cyprus. Internal Restrictions

Travel in Cyprus

Following policy changes announced by the Republic of Cyprus Government and the administration in the north, all crossing points between the Republic and the north are effectively closed to travellers.

Public spaces and services

The use of a face mask is compulsory in all indoor and outdoor public spaces in the Republic of Cyprus. Failure to comply with restrictions may result in a €300 fine.

As of 10 May, the latest curfew on movement is in place from 11pm until 5am (with few exceptions) while other restrictive measures continue, including the use of a SafePass/CoronaPass to enter specified areas including, for example, malls, catering establishments, some athletic facilities etc. The SafePass/CoronaPass requires individuals to provide proof of a negative test taken within 72 hours; at least one dose of the vaccine received at least 3 weeks prior; or having contracted coronavirus in the past 6 months. You can find full details of the latest measures introduced by the Cypriot authorities on this information page and more generally, including on SafePass/CoronaPass, on the Press & Information Office website.

North of Cyprus

Face masks must be worn in public at all times and, until further notice, there remains a curfew in place between 9pm to 5am Monday to Saturday and a full curfew on Sundays. The UK entered Cyprus' Amber category on 29 April. Passengers coming from Amber Category countries are required to undergo a PCR test within 72 hours prior to departure and provide proof of a negative result. The following categories of passengers may opt to take a laboratory test only upon their arrival in the Republic of Cyprus, at their own expense and subject to self-isolation until a negative result is obtained.
